In this example of how different races or religions are represented in the media, Ray Dixon, a character from EastEnders was stopped by the police. Ray then has reason to believe the police officer is being racist. The audience are lead to believe the police officer suspects him of mugging because of his race. This may imply that he is more likely to be guilty of a mugging because of his race from what is being shown. However this is not an accurate reflection of race and religion and has only been stereotyped. Ray later then becomes a mentor for children facing similar circumstances.
